How are port metrics calculated?

Sources
Annual throughput comes from figures published by each port authority.
Modeled figures
Every faster-than-monthly figure (daily lifts, vessel counts, berth waits) is deterministically modeled from those totals plus regional seasonality, and is labeled as modeled — it is not a live feed.

The Methodology page explains calculations, update timing and source provenance for each metric.
